I'm happy to have you here!

When my youngest daughter was four years old she had already been struggling with bouts of vomitting and food intolerance for over a year.  We'd tried conservative treatments, anti-nausea meds, avoiding artificial dyes and chemicals that could have been an issue but it wasn't helping.

Eventually, her doctor felt that she might have Celiac disease.  So, off we went to have her stomach and intestine scoped.  The result left no doubt.  She had Celiac disease and our adventure into Gluten Free living began.

It's been twelve years since that diagnosis and we've learned SO MUCH along the way.  We have new grocery buying patterns, we cook differently, we ask different questions about how her food is prepared when dining out.  And, most of all we're constantly looking for safe options when we're in new places.

To that end, I created this directory.  While a lot of online listings claim that a business is "Gluten Friendly" or "Celiac Safe" we've learned it's better to go the the gluten free community itself for reccomendations and real world experiences.

So, to all the Gluten Free families and individuals out there I invite you to take advantage of the wisdom of the crowd to help find your next Gluten Free Near Me experience.  Everyone is invited to post their own recommendations and favorite locations.  

I'm posting our favorite places so if you're in or travelling through the Southeast there are some pretty great spots already noted.
